Oncotheraper
Description and scope
Oncotheraper is a clinical decision-making support system, developed by IActive Intelligent Solutions, that is based on intelligent planning and scheduling techniques and SPM (Smart Process Management) technology. The system supports automatic generation of personalised treatment plans for paediatric cancer patients as well as monitoring and implementation of these plans adapted to the evolution of the condition of the patient.
The system is designed to support both clinical decision-making for oncologists during the treatment planning phase and the performance of clinical activities during the implementation and monitoring of these plans.
This project aims to meet the current requirements that are emerging from the new trends in healthcare focused on the patient such as improving care quality, reducing errors in the treatment of patients and the efficient use of oncological healthcare resources. The system incorporates an automated reasoning process that allows repetitive, highly detailed decision-making to be transferred from the specialists to the system, thereby achieving important time savings which can be invested in personal treatment of the patients, thus improving the quality of healthcare.
