Screening platform
Description and scope
The main objective of this project is the design, development and validation of a common computer-supported solution to any programme of mass screening for early detection of diseases by allowing for the integration of demographic data, clinical data, information systems and diagnostic equipment associated with healthcare programmes and by carrying out quality controls, programme monitoring, second opinions, results and impact measurement, etc. This project aims to ensure the highest quality of services provided within the screening programmes.
The objective of the information system under development is to improve the care processes associated with screening programmes based on the following fundamental elements:
- Optimization and management of the screening programme processes through technological innovation
- Standards-based interoperability
- Monitoring, evolution and risk assessment
- Unified management of diagnostic reports
- Knowledge Management
- Appropriate Change Management
The innovative nature of the proposed system lies in its ability to provide INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT of the complete life cycle associated with a programme for the early detection of diseases.
